Dream plot
Explanation of the dream count plot.
The dream count plot tries to incorporate all the important numbers about remembering dreams for me. For convenience reasons, I only make statistics that are averaged over 1 month. I agree that a weekly sampling might be interesting, and I might even make one some day. The data bins are centered around the 15th of the month to which they apply. This has no real meaning and is just a convention.
The plot contain 3 obvious categories:
Days: this category count on how many days during the month I remembered dreams. These are absolute numbers for the moment, and I agree that percentages would be a good alternative. For the moment, I will leave it like this as the absolute number of days is still small and the number of days in the month might influence the percentage in a way I do not like. Once I will consistently be at around 80% of the days, I might go for the percentage approach.
Dreams: the total number of dreams recorded during the month. This only encompasses the dreams I actually write down. Sometimes I am too lazy and then I forget the dreams before I can write them down. The they are not counted. However, if I take a nap and remember a dream, it is counted.
LD: number of lucid dreams. I hope that this category will become very large over time
