Remember dreams:esoteric clues
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Adding to the more traditional methods to remember dreams, I would like to add 2 from more ‘esoteric sources’.
Use the law of attraction.
The law of attraction states that we attract whatever we think about. The technique is in essence simple: just visualize yourself doing whatever you want to do or have, and it will come to you. In practice it is a bit harder. I have an other blog where I post on this kind of matters. I now run a series detailing the 7 laws of attraction, that detail this.
Use gnostic techniques.
This is actually one of the most potent formulas to remember dreams I know of. Mind you, it is not scientific, but I use this every day and it works wonders.
I use a mantra. A mantra is a phrase that has magical powers. Actually, it imbues the consciousness with the correct vibrations in order to make the magic work.
The mantra is RAOM GAOM.
How to use?
When waking up, again, do not move and mentally repeat the mantra RAOM GAOM in the folllowing way:
RRRRRRAAAAAAOOOOOMMMMMMM GAAAAAAOOOOOOMMMMM
So elongate the words and let the R roll like in Spanish.
That’s all for today, next I will try to make an overview article.

The mantra is RAOM GAOM.
I’d like you to explain more about this mantra.
I love your explanation of how t imbues our subconsciousness. I teach my students that words have value - ABSOLUTELY.
When we align our words with our subconscious amazing things follow. [Gnostic ideas indeed!]

Well, the father of modern gnostic teachings, Samael Aun Weor, teaches the meaning of mantras:
A is for remembering past lifes
O is to develop intuition
M and R serve to take the raw sexual energy up and transmute it.
I forgot why the G.
Samael tells about this mantra that it is like dynamite for the miner: it is very potent. And from what I have seen, he is right.
He also stresses the first words of the book genesis when speaking about mantras: in the beginning was the word and the word was god and god was the word.

in the beginning was the word and the word was god and god was the word.
hey yeah! logos. and the “aum” or “om”… very good. explained nicely. i understand now. thanks! i really like your posts like this.
it almost seems like each sound is to activate a chakra center or to balance it.

Actually, they are meant to activate certain chakras:
O is for the heart chakra (root of intuition)
A if for the throat chakra
G is for the spleen chakra (one of the minor ones)
M and R are more general. I should look it up.
If you are interested you can find loads of information on http://www.gnosticteachings.org .
But let me forewarn you of the style of Samael: it is very direct and sometimes looks very aggressive, but his main teaching is LOVE, unconditional love. And the total irradiaction of all negative states within us (hate, jealousy, lust, …)
But I hope you will like it.
Olivier.
